HTV (Hrvatska Televizija) is the North American television broadcast of Croatian Radio and Television, HRT (Hrvatska Radiotelevizija), the national public broadcaster of the Republic of Croatia. HRT currently broadcasts three daily national television and radio services in Croatia and Europe via the HotBird Satellite and is now available to the Croatian-language-speaking population throughout North America.Broadcasting everyday from 9-12 pm Eastern time / 6-9 pm Pacific time, HTV offers North American viewers the latest daily entertainment as broadcast in Croatia, including a 30-minute news bulletin from TV DNEVNIK to keep you informed on the current events in Croatia and the world. The satellite TV program (HIC-TV), broadcast in North America, was launched on December 22, 1993 by the Croatian Information Centre. The program is specifically intended for Croatian emigrants who live in that region. HIC-TV presently broadcasts five hours on Sundays and three hours every other day. While HIC-TV broadcasts its own shows, it also consists of Croatian Radiotelevision (HRT) programming. The program's content is diverse, including the evening news program ('Dnevnik'), various informative and current affair shows, programs on history, culture, linguistics, tourism, the economy, entertainment and sports, and many other shows. .Available Soon on Telstar 5 at 97.0° W
